USTA Florida welcomes a new certified tennis coach, Robert Last, to the team as he will be the Director of Tennis at the Fort Walton Beach Tennis Center.
Robert has more than 30 years of coaching experience, including many world-class facilities across North America and Europe. While in Europe, he coached at the Harry Hopman Academy. Mr. Hopman was known as the world’s best tennis coach. Robert is bringing his tennis knowledge to the panhandle as Robert has worked with a wide range of ages and skill levels.
In North America, he has coached at several clubs, offering tennis expertise to many. He’s been at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Sarasota National, Manasota Beach Club, the Livermore Valley Tennis Club in California, the Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, and the Western Indoor Tennis Club in Vancouver.
“Robert brings a wealth of teaching experience to Fort Walton Beach Tennis Center,” John Sanders said, Director of Tennis Managment. “His mission of delivering low-cost, high-quality programming to a wide variety of levels is a perfect fit for the tennis center. We are very excited to see the growth of the facility under his direction.”
Robert’s professionalism, vast experience, engaging personality and his deep love for the game of tennis will continue at the Fort Walton Beach Club.
