Back to School!
Hello everyone, and welcome to the July edition of the court report! While our summertime action on the courts is winding down, we are gearing up for a busy fall season. Not only will we be starting our after-school programs backup in August, but our calendar will also be jampacked with events, tournaments, and new programming.

Summer Camp
Thank you to all our summer camp participants, parents, and staff this summer! We had over 100 campers attend throughout the summer, and it is evident that tennis has a bright future in Ft. Walton Beach. A big thank you to our entire staff for the countless hours on the court, enthusiasm for tennis, and hard work this year!
USTA Florida Adult Teams
July was a busy month for our 4 USTA Florida Adult League teams at FWBTC, and a big congratulations to each team for an awesome season. Our Men’s 3.5 won the local league and will be heading to Orlando to compete in the Sectional Championships. Good luck to the entire team and bring back some hardware to Fort Walton Beach!
August Happenings
Week of August 7th
I will be taking a week off from August 7-11. During this time, there will be no lessons or programming. However, our tennis shop will be open in the afternoons from 3 PM to 8 PM that entire week. This will be front desk attendant Cole’s last week with us, so stop by to play some tennis and wish Cole good luck at MIT in the fall!
FWBTC Back to School Open
On Saturday August 26th, we will be hosting an L7 junior tournament. This will be a one-day event, and we will have Boy’s and Girl’s 12 & Under, 14 & Under, and 18 & Under draws. Registration is live on the USTA website, so sign-up now while spots are still available!
Closing Time
With summer camp winding down, we are looking ahead to the fall and how to best serve the tennis community here in Fort Walton Beach. While we continue to offer many of our usual programs, we are going to use this fall to experiment and try new things to make your experience even better at FWBTC!
